OMAHA HI/LO

I don't know why they call this game omaha maybe because it started in Kansas, well if that is the case they should named it Abilene Texas after a real wild place. Anyway after saying all of that I going to say that Omaha is becoming one of my favorite games. I have won two multi online in the past couple of weeks and placed in the money several more times. My secret of playing the game is first be double suited with high card or have four cards below sixs and be double suited. For example, one of my big hands recently was ace 3 suited 4, 6 suited. The flop came 2,4,5 suited giving me a straight flush. In Omaha HI LO this would have been an excellent hand that you dream about. Moving along to more average hand I like 4 cards that will connect and be suited with at least two cards. Too many players depend upon having that all mighty ace but I do not. The best understanding and advice I can give you for playing this game is that if do not make a hand on the FLOP you better fold, I know you hear the old saying you make it on the river but too many times you die on the river and a lots of your chips go down the river. Omaha is a game that makes you think more then hold-em because of so many combination that can be made. Playing Omaha I believe makes you overall a better poker player. I hear players say they hate the game but I think they are really missing out because it will make you a better poker player. As long as I can take money to the BANK------I LOVE OMAHA no matter where it started. Until next time do yourself a favorite and play some Omaha!! HI OR LO it all fun.
